County Kerry: the west

A few weeks ago I traveled to the West of Ireland to visit the Ring of Kerry and Dingle Peninsula. Both places are known for their incredible raw beauty and spectacular views. While there I saw a part of Ireland that was totally different from anything else I had seen so far. We stayed in the city of Killarney which is known for Ross Castle and the Killarney National Park. Unfortunately, our time was short so we only walked inside the park briefly before we had to leave. (Pictures below). To see the Ring of Kerry properly it was recommended to us by some friends that we take a bus tour. It was absolutely fantastic! At one point we stopped at a farm and a shepherd gave us a demonstration on how he trains dogs using a series of whistles to shepherd his sheep. So amazing!
